you have a new knowledge of how hard doors can be slammed.

tell me what you want to remember about these days

I was born in Paris and grew up in the French countryside. (Was it idyllic? *It was*. And I look forward to every summer when I can return with my children.) After a job brought my husband and I to America, we settled in the DC suburbs, where we are now raising two bilingual kids, Garance and Gaspard.
Living abroad helps me see the world a little differently and have a true appreciation for all the varied ways to build a life. It has also filled me with gratitude to be able to document that life. Being far from home means I miss weddings, birthdays, funerals, but I also know that the everyday is just as important to remember as the milestones.

This life we lead is a tapestry.

It’s woven of the profound and the imperfect, of beautiful moments and painful ones too.

It’s honest and simple, but there’s magic hiding there if only you take a second to look closer.
