I'm moving to New Jersey (for a year) • Family photographer New Jersey
I can't believe I didn't post this big news here on my blog. Can't you tell I have difficulties juggling with updates on all the social media platforms?!! Anyhow, this is the official announcement of my temporary move to Princeton, NJ! Thanks to my husband's job (who knew marrying an academic would lead to such an adventurous life!) we are going to explore new territories for one year starting early September! But before that we are going to France for 8 weeks! Yes! I. cannot. wait! The last time I was in France it was for my grand-mother funeral in November so I'm happy I will be travelling with the whole family this time (or maybe not #flyingwithkids) and that I will catch up with families and friends along the way. And as always we will be touring France as our families are all over the country. For those of you who know their geography, I'll arrive in Nantes (where I grew up) and will try to manage 2 jet-lagged kids and deal with my own while hubby head to a conference in the Netherlands, then we plan to travel along the Loire Valley to visit the Châteaux (castles) and historic french landmarks. Next stop is the South around Toulouse (country of duck confit and foie gras) to visit the in-laws and at that point we'll need a break from families (i'm sure you know what I mean). I think we are going to visit some friends and stay more than 2 days in the same place so we can really enjoy the moment (and our glass of wine).
But back to our move to New Jersey (where we'll recover from our vacation): it is also going to be exciting (and maybe challenging?) for the business. The goal is to expand along the East coast so if you know some families interested in documentary-style photography, send them my way and I'll make sure to thank you (and them!) accordingly.
I am also looking for other small businesses to partner with: if you have any shops, restaurant, or creative people you would like to recommend in NJ, NY and Philadelphia share the info with me! This is very exciting and I cannot wait for the new adventures.
